Accounting Staff

We are a well-established firm seeking accounting staff for a full-time position. Compensation will be based on the experience and qualification of the candidate.

Our firm is a full-service public accounting firm with a wide variety of clients in such industries as manufacturing, construction and retail.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments
  • Knowledge of quickbooks and sage
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS office applications and Caseware / Caseview software
  • Willingness and capacity to meet fluctuating workload demands

CPA designation is not required. We are a designated firm to train CPA candidates.

Job responsibilities will include preparing year-end compilation, review and/or audit engagements, including financial statements and corporate returns as applicable. Preference will be given to applicants with applicable experience in a public accounting firm.

Senior Accounting Staff

We are a well-established firm seeking senior-level accounting staff for a full-time position. There is current opportunity for a senior accountant position, and potential for further advancement. Compensation will be based on the experience and qualification of the candidate.

Our firm is a full-service public accounting firm with a wide variety of small and mid-sized business clients.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
  • Completion of university degree and CPA designation is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of ASPE
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS office applications and Caseware / Caseview software
  • Willingness and capacity to meet fluctuating workload demands and work overtime hours during tax season
  • Any specialized training or experience in tax and corporate reorganizations would be considered an asset

Job responsibilities will be dependent on the particular candidate and may include:

  • Preparation of audit, review and compilation engagements including financial statements and corporate tax returns ensuring compliance with professional and government standards
  • Review of audit, review and compilation engagements, financial statements and corporate tax returns completed by other staff
  • Preparation and review of personal tax returns
  • Mentor staff as needed
  • Assisting partner with complex or special work as needed
  • Managing client relations, including responding to questions, assisting clients with various issues
  • Researching various corporate and personal tax, HST, and other related matters as required
